Say NO to Bullying - The Book Chook
Nobody admits to liking bullies. Most of us want to do something about bullying, but we feel powerless in the face of bullying behaviour. There are things parents can do to say NO to bullying, like not assuming their child would never bully, and discussing it, or sharing books, videos and role plays with their children. If we all work together, I truly believe we can make a change in society. If we can stop one child going to bed each night in tears, if we can prevent one suicide or total breakdown, why wouldn’t we try?
I like this blog post because:
Sometimes we just hope our child won’t be bullied, or refuse to admit our little darling could ever bully others. By being proactive, and taking preventative steps with our kids right now, I believe we can reduce the incidence of bullying in our society. It’s not an easy or lovely thing to think about – but it could well be a matter of life and death.
